[Jonathan Kincade] His phone rings and he answers the call "Hello Jonathan Kincade speaking, is that you Kage?"
[phonecall] "Hi, Jonathan. What's up? And why do mysterious complications around the location of a potential disappeared person nexus warrant a call to my humble self?" That? Was a touch of humor, easy.
[Jonathan Kincade] "Hey Kage.. sorry for the urgent call and I realise that the info doesn't mean much. But all the patients seem to be sufferers of various types of neurological diseases. I'm here with Kaya and she believes she has seen this kind of thing before. Anyway I did some digging around and there seems to be a 500 yard black hole where we can't see ANYTHING.. using any of the tools at our disposal. Someone doesn't want us finding whatever it is there. I don't want to attempt to break it down, lest it trigger off alarms. So I thought you might be the person to call to get some help... or if you could put us onto someone who can."
[phonecall] "I see." A long pause. Then: "Patients? What kind of patients?" And if, when, he explains -- again: "I see. Listen. Don't do anything yet. I'll try and get you somebody. But until then, if you're going to take my advice, the advice is this: don't poke it, don't prod it, definitely don't let Kaya poke or prod it, and keep your head down."
[Jonathan Kincade] He does explain, how he found them and then linked them by a common pattern "Nah we figured we were under-manned, so we've gotten ourselves out of there. I'll see if I get any more luck remotely, but I doubt it. Let me know how it goes with finding someone. Till then we'll keep our noses clean."
[phonecall] "Mm. Good. Look. I'm in the middle of something, but one quick question: Did this 'black out' you ran into feel like it had been there for a while? Fixed how-dare-you-sir zone? Or just thrown up like a tee-hee-I'm-changing-now towel?"
[Jonathan Kincade] He ponders for a good while "I didn't really check that, but if I had to choose one or the other. I would lean towards fixed or rather it definitely wasn't rushed. Someone took their time."
[phonecall] "You didn't happen to get a sense of what this someone's particular signature sizzles like, did you?"
[Jonathan Kincade] "No I didn't .. I just got a large void when I tried to view that area. Sorry if I couldn't be of more help."
[phonecall] "Hm. Don't apologize. Hopefully one of your people will get in touch; have a good night." And click!
